I’ve always had a strong interest in fashion ever since I was taught to sew at a young age. From then on I was constantly ripping apart my clothes and re-designing them. When I got older I started making my own clothes from scratch; from t-shirts to prom dresses.

Concentrating on art throughout my high school education led to my decision to study Fashion Design, at Cazenovia College. Throughout my college career, I was able to learn all facets of the fashion industry: design and business. I kept expanding my knowledge of design by pushing my boundaries as well as the curriculum.

For my internship, I had the great opportunity to work closely with the design team at Zac Posen. I spent a summer in heaven, which some would call their “hell”.  I worked hand-in-hand with the head pattern-maker helping to create some of the most beautiful clothing I’ve ever seen in my life.  That experience reinforced my idea of wanting to create my own design label.

Along with my love for garment design (mens and womenswear), I have grown a strong interest in hair accessories.  My millinery interest started in my third year of college. I wanted to be able to create accessories to compliment my garment creations. I immediately became intrigued by it. Most of my inspiration for my head pieces come from feathers, especially from the beautiful plumage of the peacock.

There’s nothing I love more than creating a garment or a head piece and being able to see someone else wear it down the street. The feeling is euphoric.

“My designs are for the bold and not for the faint of heart.  The individuals who wear my designs want to make a statement, just like me. I am not afraid to leave my comfort zone.  Instead I look forward to expanding my knowledge of all facets of design.”
